Career

Sandy has spent 13 years in the television industry as a news anchor and reporter. Her skills translate well to her current occupation as adventurer and speaker.

She has put her research skills to good use, reading everything she can find which will help her accomplish her trek across the desert. Sandy can pick up the phone and call anyone in the world about any questions that crop up regarding her monumental odyssey. There are visas to organize, guides to hire, equipment to buy…the list of things to do is endless.

Sandy is also a very articulate and energetic speaker. She is very comfortable speaking to large groups, or interviewing a person one-on-one. Her communication skills are excellent. Being media savvy, she is hoping to document her entire journey on video.
