of Marathoning..."
NATIONAL POST April 9, 2007
Sandy McCallum has set a new world-record by racing in 6 desert ultramarathons
in less than a year. This has never been done before by any man or woman on
the planet.
Welcome to Sahara Odyssey
Welcome to Sahara Odyssey. Sandy McCallum has tested the limits of human endurance by completing a DESERT GRAND SLAM. She competed in six extreme desert ultramarathons in deserts around the world...all while carrying a 20 pound pack on her back with all of the supplies she needed, including food. This took her to 6 different countries...China, Chile, Egypt, Mauritania, Libya and Morocco.
In 2008, Sandy will step back from racing and focus all of her attention on her original goal...organizing a camel trek that will circumnavigate the entire Sahara Desert.
Read on for the latest details about her racing, trekking, and motivational speaking!
